Hu's On First?

These days international diplomacy seems to be all about weapon inspections, hidden triggers, and serious consequences. But there is a funny side to international diplomacy. Don't believe it? Just take a listen to Dubya and Condi hashing out the intricacies of foreign policy in the Oval Office.
HU'S ON FIRST

(We take you now to the Oval Office.)
George: Condi! Nice to see you. What's happening?
Condi: Sir, I have the report here about the new leader of China.
George: Great. Lay it on me.
Condi: Hu is the new leader of China.
George: That's what I want to know.
Condi: That's what I'm telling you.
George: That's what I'm asking you. Who is the new leader of China?
Condi: Yes.
George: I mean the fellow's name.
Condi: Hu.
George: The guy in China.
Condi: Hu.
George: The new leader of China.
Condi: Hu.
George: The Chinaman!
Condi: Hu is leading China.
George: Now whaddya' asking me for?
Condi: I'm telling you Hu is leading China.
George: Well, I'm asking you. Who is leading China?
Condi: That's the man's name.
George: That's who's name?
Condi: Yes.
George: Will you or will you not tell me the name of the new leader of China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir? Yassir Arafat is in China? I thought he was in the Middle East.
Condi: That's correct.
George: Then who is in China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir is in China?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Then who is?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Look, Condi. I need to know the name of the new leader of China. Get me the Secretary General of the U.N. on the phone.
Condi: Kofi?
George: No, thanks.
Condi: You want Kofi?
George: No.
Condi: You don't want Kofi.
George: No. But now that you mention it, I could use a glass of milk. And then get me the U.N.
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Not Yassir! The guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi?
George: Milk! Will you please make the call?
Condi: And call who?
George: Who is the guy at the U.N?
Condi: Hu is the guy in China.
George: Will you stay out of China?!
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: And stay out of the Middle East! Just get me the guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi.
George: All right! With cream and two sugars. Now get on the phone.
(Condi picks up the phone.)
Condi: Rice, here.
George: Rice? Good idea. And a couple of egg rolls,too. Maybe we should send some to the guy in China. And the Middle East. Can you get Chinese food in the Middle East?

Diese Tagesinternationale Diplomatie scheint, ganz über Waffekontrollen, versteckte Auslöser und ernste Konsequenzen zu sein. Aber es gibt eine lustige Seite zur internationalen Diplomatie. Glauben ihr nicht? Gerades Nehmen hören zum Hashing Dubya und Condi aus den Verwicklungen der fremden Politik im ovalen Büro.
HU'S ERSTES AN

George: Condi! Nizza zum Sehen Sie. Was geschieht?
Condi: Geehrter Herr, habe ich den Report hier über den neuen Führer von China.
George: Groß. Legen Sie es auf mich.
Condi: Hu ist der neue Führer von China.
George: Das ist, was ich wissen möchte.
Condi: Das ist, was ich Ihnen erkläre.
George: Das ist, was ich Sie frage. Wer ist der neue Führer von China?
Condi: Ja.
George: Ich bedeute den Namen des Gefährten.
Condi: Hu.
George: Das Halteseil in China.
Condi: Hu.
George: Der neue Führer von China.
Condi: Hu.
George: Das Chinaman!
Condi: Hu führt China.
George: Jetzt whaddya ', das mich um bittet?
Condi: Ich erkläre Ihnen, daß Hu China führt.
George: Gut frage ich Sie. Wer führt China?
Condi: Der ist der Name des Mannes.
George: Das ist, wer Name ist?
Condi: Ja.
George: Sie oder werden Sie erklären mir den Namen des neuen Führers von China nicht?
Condi: Ja Sir.
George: Yassir? Yassir Arafat ist in China? Ich dachte, daß er im mittleren Osten war.
Condi: Das ist korrekt.
George: Dann ist wer in China?
Condi: Ja Sir.
George: Yassir ist in China?
Condi: Nr., Sir.
George: Dann ist wer?
Condi: Ja Sir.
George: Yassir?
Condi: Nr., Sir.
George: Schauen Sie, Condi. Ich muß den Namen des neuen Führers von China kennen. Erhalten Sie mir den Generalsekretär des U.N. am Telefon.
Condi: Kofi?
George: Nr., Dank.
Condi: Sie wünschen Kofi?
George: Nein.
Condi: Sie wünschen nicht Kofi.
George: Nein. Aber, nun da Sie es erwähnen, könnte ich ein Glas Milch benutzen. Und erhalten Sie mir das U.N dann.
Condi: Ja Sir.
George: Nicht Yassir! Das Halteseil am U.N.
Condi: Kofi?
George: Milch! Bilden Sie bitte den Anruf?
Condi: Und Anruf wer?
George: Wer ist das Halteseil am U.N?
Condi: Hu ist das Halteseil in China.
George: Wille, den Sie aus China heraus? bleiben!
Condi: Ja Sir.
George: Und Aufenthalt aus dem mittleren Osten heraus! Erhalten Sie mir das Halteseil einfach am U.N.
Condi: Kofi.
George: In Ordnung! Mit Creme und zwei Zucker. Erhalten Sie jetzt am Telefon.
(Condi hebt das Telefon.) auf,
Condi: Reis, hier.
George: Reis? Gute Idee. Und ein Paar der Eirollen, auch. Möglicherweise sollten wir einiges schicken dem Halteseil in China. Und der mittlere Osten. Können Sie chinesische Nahrung im mittleren Osten erhalten?
